Today was my first day back from a long weekend, I came into school late but wanted to get back to Law Club and help Itzel so I came. We decided on our main topic for our exhibition mock trial so it was very fun and eventful. It was very difficult because it was very closely in between discrimination and internet monitoring. In the end, and after a huge series of voting, we decided upon internet monitoring and the students seemed happy with it.

Today we had the huge task of randomly choosing who would be on the defense and prosecution side for the actual mock trial. We knew that this would be hard because most were against internet monitoring to begin with but made it clear that there would be even sides. In the end we chose the groups randomly and put a bit of personal input so the teams wouldn't be un-even in strength. Overall, the students were okay with the groups and were excited to actually get started.

Both me and Itzel were out of town so we left Silvia in charge. They researched and learned a bit more of the side they're on.

Fun Friday: Today we will be watching mock trial videos and decide whether they want to prosecute the topic or they want a case with a person to prosecute.
