My project isn't easy to show because it was a joint, more complex, project. Itzel and I decided to create a class/club involving law and Law Day. Law Day is an actual holiday but it's not widely celebrated or even known about. We used the idea that was originally used my the ABA, the American Bar Association, and built off of that. Our mentors, Glen and Diem, also helped us come up with more ideas and to try to implement it into our school community and then other schools. Our club/class will include lots of information and activities including: jury duty, mock trials, right and obligations depending on age, and even presentations from actual attorneys. Our project will, hopefully, live on past us and will take our whole senior year. We want to make sure that everyone wants to be involved by creating spirit weeks and activities leading up to the actual event that'll hopefully take place around May, because May 1st is the actual Law Day holiday. We have to thank the city attorney, Glen, for the base of our project idea because I know it's something he's been wanting to implement and being able to help him with that and enjoying what we're doing will make an outcome of a great project! The Internship Project page of my DP will explain further once the club is creating and hopefully running.
