Summary/Update:
This week I was supposed to read another 98-ish pages and it worked out fairly well again, I read up to page 197, finishing chapter 28 and ready to start chapter 29. Now Huck and Finn reached their goal of the Ohio river and got to Cairo, the first town. Huck was living at the Granger's house, a nice family, until he witnessed two of them being killed and couldn't handle it so he left. They made some "friends", some conmen, one young and one old. They had a three night spree giving crappy shows that were overpriced and moved onto the next town. The conmen took the place of two men who's brother just died and were asking for the inheritance, they made a big messed and sold all the real estate they got and planned to keep the money. Huck felt bad and told the sister's the truth to make things right after Mary Jane was said over the slave families being separated.
Questions:
- What town were they at next? How long did it take them to get there?
- Will the three sisters get their money back or how will that work?
- What will happen if the real brothers actually did show up?
Prediction:
I think someone's going to go out looking for Huck and the conmen because of what they took form the real brothers and because they got rid of all the slaves. If they aren't smart I do think that they'll be caught, at least the conmen will. Or Huck will get rid of the conmen once and for all by ditching them or something.
