Summary/Update:
Well this book split up fairly nicely, this time I finished the book so I read all the way to page 295. Now the real Wilks brothers showed up and there was a huge scandal, Huck and Jim try to leave the conmen being but they end up escaping when the money is found in the coffin. They head to another town and start another con-show, the public isn't very happy and last time that Huck sees them is when they're being chased by a mob. The dauphin sold Jim to a farmer so Huck went to get him back, turns out that they were expecting their nephew and took Huck right in, but their real nephew is Tom Sawyer who shows up pretending to be Sid, his stepbrother. They come up with a plan to get Jim out, very huge and extreme plan, and Tom ends up with a bullet in his leg. They try to run away but then Tom needs medical help, Huck goes back to find a doctor and his "aunt" doesn't let him go look for Tom because she doesn't want to loose another boy. After a while Tom comes back in a mattress and Jim behind him all cuffed up, escorted by farmers. Jim is granted freedom because Miss Watson is dead and because he stayed to help Tom when he was ill.
Questions:
- Were the conmen killed? Like what happened after the huge mob chased them?
- Now that Jim is free what happens to him? What did being "free" mean at that time?
- Are Huck and Tom going to live with Aunt Sally or Aunt Polly? Where is Huck going to go?
Prediction:
Well the book ended but if it had to go on I would assume that Huck is very relieved that his father won't be around to beat him anymore and that he and Tom Sawyer will be going on adventures and getting in trouble still.
